FLOYD PERRAS
Executive Director
Hello, I am the Executive Director at the 4 Wing MFRCS. I have over 25+ years of non-profit experience, and 20+ years in executive roles.
Some of my duties related to First Flights include overseeing the
day-to-day operations, budget and finance, fundraising, policy, marketing and customer service.
I moved to Cold Lake from Winnipeg in 2017 and have enjoyed my time here serving the 4 Wing and Cold Lake community.

CHERAMIE SMITH
First Flights Manager
Hello, I joined the 4 Wing MFRCS team as the First Flights Coordinator in 2020 and became the First Flights Manager in May 2022.
​
I assist with overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of our Early Learning Centre, Out of School Care (OSC), Preschool, Summer OSC, and After Hours Care programs.
I have been working in the Early Learning and child care field for 20+ years, with many of those years spent as a Preschool Instructor. I completed my Early Childhood Education Diploma early in my career and then continued on to obtain my Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Program Management.

I moved to Cold Lake in 2012 with my husband and 3 children from our home province of Manitoba. I have loved the time we have spent here becoming part of the Cold Lake community and meeting many new families and children!
KAREN POTTS
Child Care Coordinator
Hello, my name is Karen Potts. My family and I arrived in Cold Lake in 2015, where I opened a private Day Home. In June 2020, I joined the First Flights team and moved into the role of Coordinator in May 2022.

Early learning has always been a passion of mine. I have been working with children 0-17 in various capacities across Canada (ON, BC, AB) for over 25 years. My Early Childhood Education Diploma and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology were attained in Ontario.
Currently, my role at First Flights ELC includes overseeing the main site of the ELC, the Out of School Care Program (run out of Art Smith Aviation Academy), and the Summer Program.

I enjoy being able to join in the classroom activities and experiences like singing and playing with the children. It is wonderful to be given the opportunity to connect with children and families in our MFRCS 4 Wing programs and our community!

LAUREN BAILIE
Child Care Coordinator
Hello, my name is Lauren Bailie. I am a Child Care Coordinator for First Flights. I am certified as a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator.
Some of my duties include overseeing the day-to-day supervision of the Annex location Early Learning Centre and the After Hours Care Program. I moved to Cold Lake from Ontario in 2014 and became employed at the MFRCS as an Out of School Care Worker, from there I have worked in all areas of the child care programs including (former) Medley Day Homes as a Home Visitor, Preschool, and the Summer Program.
I became Child Care Coordinator in 2016 and have been enjoying the position ever since.
